I studied cognitive science for my undergraduate degree, and I fell in love with the interplay of psychology and linguistics. I wanted to use my knowledge in a practical way to help people, so I came across this magical profession of speech and language therapy. I love that I can help people with my knowledge and passion to communicate with their loved ones, access activities and education, and be better understood. I like that I get daily opportunities to work with many different people such as parents, teachers, other school staff, different therapists and young people themselves.

 My favourite word is “reka” which means river in Slovenian, my mother tongue. I love spending time by the river as it calms my mind and takes all my worries away.
