Laura Boutarfa
Based in St Albans
Speech and Language Therapy Assistant Practitioner
I found my love for Speech and Language Therapy after studying languages at university. I enjoy the cross over between language and psychology, and I can support and work with children, young people and their families in their individual SLT journeys. I firmly believe that having a means of communication, whatever means that may be, is essential for us as humans and that everyone’s voice matters. I am enthusiastic about working with each client to achieve their unique goals.
My favourite word is “welcome” – it’s a word we often learn first when discovering a new language. We use it so often and it makes the person feel gladly received and included. Being welcomed, no matter who you are, is of great importance.
