The process for commissioning your speech & language therapy service
Step 1: Fact finding chat
One of our team will fill you in about how our service could work in your setting and answer any questions you might have. You can tell us about the unique needs of your school and individual students you have concerns about.
Step 2: Bespoke package design
We will put together a tailor-made package for your school or setting to suit your budget and the level of need of your cohort. Within a few weeks we can mobilise a therapist or therapy team to make speech therapy magic in your school.
Step 3: We are lift off!
Once the necessary paperwork has been filled in your therapist or therapy team will visit your setting and start providing your bespoke speech and language therapy service, supporting your students to communicate, learn and thrive.

- A qualified SaLT is assigned
- The SaLT asssesses the pupils and sets targets for intervention for each pupil

Rainbow Package
- A therapy team is assigned consisting of a SaLT & a SaLTAP
- The SaLT assesses the pupils and sets targets for intervention for each pupil
- The SaLTAP provdies ongoing 1:1 and group intervention
- The SaLT provides specialist advice & EHCP support

What's the difference between a SaLT and SaLTAP?
Our SaLTAPs are highly experienced in working with SEN and SLCN. Many are SaLT degree apprentices or aspiring SaLTs. Find out more about the difference →
* Mainstream schools with specialist bases where the therapy team will be expected to work with students in the bases will require specialist rate pricing. SaLTAP rates are the same across all settings, including specialist schools, units and further education colleges.

Our therapists can assess 2 pupils per day on average. Particularly complex cases do require more time and some straight-forward cases might require less time.

Our Speech Therapists will typically do a classroom / playground / learning observation, consult with the pupil’s main teacher, speak to parents /carers, carry out formal and / or informal assessment and speak to any other professionals involved.

We must have signed parental / carer consent before beginning work with any pupil under the age of 18.

Yes we can. Some EHCPs specify that the intervention must be carried out by a qualified Speech and Language Therapist and in these cases we will ensure that our SaLTs take these cases on.

Our Speech and Language Therapists can support with the writing of EHCP applications and reviews.
